The Bonuses
can be expressed in 6 forms: some of them look very similar and
can misguide the young Scarlet Cobra. So here it is a detailed
explanation on the subtle differences:
 |
+N
to XXXXX |
This
is a Collective Bonus, it doesn't mean that Every Team
Member gets the listed bonus. Instead every turn the whole group
has the N number of points to distribute among themselves as they
see fit: if the field states "+2 to Strength" each round
the team may split 2 points of strength among themselves, meaning
that either two characters gain 1 dot of strength or a single
characters gets both. Other team members, if present, gain no
bonus once the points are all used up. The next round the points
may be reassigned or kept the same way as the party chooses. If
the XXXXX is not an attribute but rather a group of attributes (Physical,
Social or Mental), it means that the party can freely chose which
of the three stats is boosted from round to round. So "+2 to
Social" can either be spent as +1 Appearence and +1
Manipulation or +1 Appearence and +1 Charisma or any possible
combination until all the dots are used up. |
+N
to XXXXX Pool |
Again,
this is a Collective Bonus and works as the above mentioned.
The difference is that this bonus applies to Abilities instead of
Attributes. So "+3 to Stealth Pool" Means that every
round the whole party can split among themselves 3 dices that can
be added to their stealth rolls |
N
XXXXX Points |
This
is a Collective and a Story bonus: it means that the
team gets the N amount of the XXXXX stat to spend without having
to call on their own supplies. Of course this relates only to Rage,
Gnosis and Willpower. The N is the total number of bonus
points that the Party, not each character, can spend in the
span of the Story. Once these points are used up, the team members
must resort to their own reserves for the rest of the Story. They
won't regenerate over time. |
+N
XXXXX Dots |
This
is a Individual bonus. This means that Every single
character has his or her XXXXX stat boosted by N dots for the
whole Story. A stat thus increased, however, does not provide any
additional technique (So if you have a "+1 Melee Dot"
you won't suddenly know how to use a new weapon and then forget it
at the end of the story). Similarly, stats that reach 3 dots
thanks to this bonus do not generate a specialization. |
-N
to XXXXX Diff |
This
is another Individual bonus. Every characters has the
difficulty of any roll that involves the XXXXX stat reduced by N.
So if you see a "-2 to Accademics Diff" It means that
every team member will make a Intelligence+Accademics roll as well
as a Wits+Accademics roll at -2 difficulty. |
+N
Bruised Levels |
Simply
enough, with this bonus each character gets N number of
Bruised Health Level that can be marked off before those of the
team member itself. These healt levels heal and behave normally as
if they were natural ones. |
