Mission Briefing:The situation is really bad. Nearly Five minutes ago, a news report rolled over Maddalena’s desk: it was an emergency dispatch from one of her Italian Mafia contacts. It said that a special report on some of the activities in which the squad members took part during the Lupin III mission (Leonardo’s Legacy); before they could be retrieved in Italy, these files mysteriously disappeared from Mafia sight and they lost the trail. Just some days after they popped out of existence, the files reappeared in a flash, just at L.A. docks. Luckily (?????!!!!) Mafia works on both sides of the ocean and Maddalena was promptly informed and the L.A. Headquarters were alerted in turn. The problem is that their vans are already hitting the city roads bound for their destinations and all Scarlet Cobras members are far away involved in unavoidable missions, so it’s up to the L.A. remaining forces to stop FBI from getting their hands on that report. It is very likely that this is not a fully official FBI operation, for they relied on an external courier to catch the deliver and bring it back to them; on the good side this means that we won’t have to face the FBI directly, on the bad side, there is the fact that FBI courier is no less than the famous Road Buster. So, know that if the pack reaches his hands, you can kiss it goodbye, for no one will ever be able to get it back and there is also no way of bribing him in giving it back to us. What you’ll have to do is to go outside and grab the first mean of locomotion you can find and get in the trail of one of the vans. You are to do everything in your power to retrieve the files (without compromising our position further, of course), and this means that you will have to run across the whole city and inspect every single van until you find your objective. Be wary that these people seem to know that someone is on their trail and, like you, they won’t stop at nothing to complete their mission. Luckily, Maddalena is online and is checking the whole L.A. network for information and support, so will be able to count on her ever vigilant eye. The Road Buster is already in town, this suggested Maddalena the Idea that the meeting with him should around sundown and this means we have a very, VERY limited time to get our job accomplished!
